Attention Parents:
*In red folders today, you will find an envelope with the school’s return address. This envelope will eventually include a letter to a veteran and an invitation to our assembly. If you know of a veteran to whom you would like a note and invite sent, please return this envelope with his or her address on it. If you do not know of someone--no worries, we have names and addresses here we can send one along to--just please try to return the blank envelope. Thanks!
*If you have any photos of veterans you would like to share with us for our Veteran’s Day slideshow, please send them with your student in an envelope so that we can return it to you. You may also email your photo to nsiders@stjschools.org.

Science:
We will continue working through our unit over Force, Motion, & Simple Machines. This week we will be learning more about incline planes and levers. Students will be doing experiments to see how the force and distance change when using these two simple machines compared to using no simple machine.
Students will have an edmodo.com quiz this Friday covering many of the topics from this week as well as some review questions from previous weeks. The items students need to know for the weekly quiz can be found by clicking the “Science” tab on my class website at nsiders.weebly.com
The 6 steps of the scientific method will be on every quiz and test the entire year, please study these with your child so they are prepared. Students who are still unable to correctly order the six steps will begin practicing them during Fun Friday until they are able to complete this task.
**You can also get the weekly newsletter by
